This film was the initial in the collection of “Leçons particulières de musique” (personal songs lessons). It was initially developed in 1987 as a pilot for the inceptive Franco-German social network Arte, recognized at that time as “La Sept sur FR3”, René Jacobs, after that at the height of his singing powers, concurred to take part in the journey.
